Join Ausdance ACT for an exclusive masterclass with Iana Salenko, Principal Dancer at Staatsballett Berlin, on Sunday 18th August, from 2pm to 3.30pm at the Gorman Arts Centre QL2 Dance Studio.
This workshop is designed for dancers aged 14 and above, pre-professionals, adult dancers, and independent artists at an intermediate to advanced level. The session will include a 1.25-hour classical ballet and variations class, followed by a 15-minute Q&A.
Iana is touring with the critically acclaimed Ballet International Gala performing at the Canberra Theatre for one show only. Witness classical ballet at its best as the world’s most renowned artists perform some of ballet’s most iconic repertoires.

About the Artist:
Iana Salenko, a Ukrainian ballerina born in Kyiv, started ballet at 12. She trained at Vadim Pisarev's school in Donetsk, becoming a soloist in 2000 and principal at Kyiv Ballet in 2002, then principal at Berlin State Opera in 2007. Salenko has danced lead roles in "Swan Lake," "The Nutcracker," "Giselle," and originated Aurora in Nacho Duet's "The Sleeping Beauty." She debuted with the Royal Ballet in 2013 as Don Quixote and has guested with the Bolshoi Ballet and Paris Opera Ballet. Her accolades include the Gold Medal at the Moscow International Ballet Competition and the Nijinsky Prize.
