Course Information

AUSLAN - Level 1 & Level 2

The Auslan Level 1 course is the perfect place to start learning Auslan to communicate with deaf and hard of hearing people. This course will cover the following: Deaf Awareness and Culture, Introductions, Family, Colour, Food and Drink, Dates and Time etc.

Thursday Evenings for 8 weeks.

23rd July - 10 Sept 2026

6:30pm to 8:00pm

Two groups will run concurrently each night.

Cost: $140.00 +GST & booking fee

The Auslan Level 1 workbook is required for this course at a cost of $50 and is payable by cash only in class.

The Warnbro Community and Family Centre is situated next to the Avenue Reserve on the corners of Moreton Crescent and Bristol Street, Warnbro. We have been a part of the Community for more than 30 years, officially opening our doors in 1992.

We are a non-profit organisation run by an independent board of local people interested in seeing the Warnbro community thrive – we are always seeking new members to join our committee, if this sounds like something you would be interested in please drop in and have a chat with our Centre Manager during week days. The Warnbro Community and Family Centre receives State Government funding through the Department of Communities and acknowledges the generous support from both the Department of Communities and the City of Rockingham.
