Aussie Bird Count: Birdwatching for Beginners, Sunday walk
Event description
To celebrate Aussie Bird Count week, we’re inviting you to a Beginners Birdwatching session! Running for one week from Monday 14 to Sunday 20 October, the Aussie Bird Count is a great way to connect with and document the birds in your local area. To help support the count, Life Gone Wild are running two beginner birdwatching sessions to talk about the local birds in Boroondara.
We will be on hand to help you spot, learn about, and record your sightings, as we focus on the amazing birds that call Boroondara home! We will start our walk in Beckett Park and then make our way through Maranoa Gardens.
Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for an outdoor walk along uneven ground. Please bring a water bottle and be prepared for the weather.
Getting to the event: The closest public parking to the event is in the carpark off Parring Road, Balwyn.Â
When: Sunday 20th October July from 9am to 11am
Where: Please meet at the Beckett Park Centenary Tower
