Accessibility on Apple Vision Pro presented by Apple

The best technology works for everyone. At Apple, our products and services are inclusive by design, with built in accessibility features — right out of the box. As with all Apple products, powerful accessibility features have been built right into visionOS. Apple Vision Pro provides many features to support vision, physical and motor, hearing, and learning needs. In this session, explore how to personalise your device to meet your unique needs, discover more about these features and how to develop for them.

Immersive Disaster Recovery Orchestration (POC) by Rod Sampera (Versent)

Sharing our explorations into a proof-of-concept Apple Vision Pro app, designed to assist Field Intelligence Officers in monitoring, assessing, and orchestrating Disaster Recovery Operations following major weather or disaster events. The app integrates real-time field intelligence sourced from iPhones, iPads, drone scans, and 3D models of impacted sites. Leveraging the immersive capabilities of Apple Vision Pro, this data is brought to life for in-depth analysis and collaboration, enabling the Disaster Recovery Operations team to make informed decisions and efficiently restore network functionality.

How to Construct a Virtual Showroom on the Apple Vision Pro by Declan Dwyer (Graviton Interactive)

With the launch of the Apple Vision Pro, we explored how the device can be used as an effective immersive sales tool for architectural surfaces and furniture. This involved the capture pipeline of physical products and understanding the rendering capabilities of the Vision Pro. Declan will discuss Unity vs Reality Composer Pro for constructing high-fidelity experiences.

Developing InstructXR by Andy Boud, Anthony Borell, & Vish Bhartiya (Second Wave Holdings)

Founded by inspiration from the initial VisionPro Keynote, we'll discuss our motivation to develop InstructXR, the development path and overall journey from product concept to launch. We'll provide a brief demo of the application in use.

Exploring Spatial Computing: Moving from Consumption to Creation by Paul Dionysius & Kobe O’Connor (Siena Catholic College)

Follow the journey of Kobe O’Connor, who, with limited existing applications specifically designed for spatial computing, created an application that enables students to learn how to build products in the Industrial Technologies workshop using a virtual environment. Through this project, he discovered the potential of the Vision Pro not only to consume information but also to generate unique products and resources that can be shared with clients and users. Kobe and Paul will discuss the cross-curricular opportunities within the Technologies syllabus that encourage students to explore multiple Technologies disciplines.

Rethinking the UX for Apple Vision Pro by Oliver Weidlich (Contxtual)

One of the opportunities for spatial computing is to orientate digital content and experiences within the physical world. But there are many aspects of the physical world that we can combine with personal information and digital content that can make our experiences easier, and more engaging. Oliver will talk about we can use elements of context to design better spatial computer experiences and will use the case study of their Apple Vision Pro app, Day Ahead.

Panel

We'll have a panel with Q&A including some of the above speakers, as well as Stuart Varrall from Fluid Pixel, who has made a number of visionOS applications including Cricket Scores & Newton's Cradle.
