Australasian Saxophone Collective
Event description
The Australasian Saxophone Collective brings together leading saxophonists from Australia and New Zealand. The collective draws on the friendships and years of artistic collaborations between saxophonists who form quartets to present distinguished saxophone quartet performances.
For this special concert in Cambridge, the collective has drawn together long-time collaborators Niels Bijl (Melbourne/Netherlands), Simon Brew (Cambridge NZ), Michael Jamieson (Auckland NZ), and Tomomi Johnson (Auckland NZ). All equally skilled in chamber solo and orchestral playing, their concert will enthral people with exquisite colours and sounds - with music by Ravel, Faure, Bernstein, Michael Jamieson, Gareth Farr and more.
See you there.
The day will also play host to a community workshop for local and aspiring saxophonists. Visit https://events.humanitix.com/c... (Workshop registration close Saturday)
