Join us for the inaugural Australia Canada Business Circle Summer BBQ, hosted by Stanton Chase in partnership with the Australian Consulate-General in Toronto and the Canadian Australian Chamber of Commerce (CACC) Ontario Committee.

The Australia Canada Business Circle has been established to connect Australian professionals, exporters, entrepreneurs, business leaders and Canadian partners across the Greater Toronto Area, creating a stronger community for those with ties to Australia and Canada.

At this inaugural gathering, we will welcome Australians living and working in Canada, celebrate new connections across the Australia-Canada business community, and spotlight several Australian companies launching into the Canadian market in 2026, alongside others newly established in Toronto.

Enjoy a welcome drink and BBQ canapés while connecting with fellow Australians, industry leaders and members of the broader Canada-Australia business network. A cash bar will also be available.

Shelley Jackson

Consul General and Trade & Investment Commissioner

AUSTRADE

Shelley is the Australian Consul-General and Trade and Investment Commissioner with Austrade and the Australian Consulate-General in Toronto, with responsibility for teams promoting trade and investment between Australia and Canada; and providing consular services in Toronto and Vancouver.

She has held multiple leadership roles with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) leading health, digital technology and clean energy industry teams, supporting Australian businesses to go global and assisting global investors to enter the Australian market. She has worked in public and private sector roles in Australia, Japan, the US and the UK with a focus on technology, trade and investment. Most recently she was the Director of the Australian Medtech Manufacturing Centre, with the Victorian Government in Melbourne supporting the growth of the medtech innovation ecosystem in Victoria, Australia.

Smita Challu Tulsani

Smita Challu Tulsani serves as Global Leader, MarTech & AI at World Vision International, where she leads the integration of customer-focused strategy, technology-driven innovation, and revenue impact, translating emerging tech solutions into real-world applications at scale.
With a career spanning telecom, manufacturing, media, and social impact, Smita brings global cultural acuity and deep product-market expertise to the markets she serves. Her leadership is defined by a commitment to integrity, authenticity, empathy, and professionalism, values that underpin her approach to delivering impactful solutions in high-stakes environments. She is an active voice on inclusive AI through the Canadian Marketing Association and Women in AI, and holds a Chartered Marketer designation, a Bachelor of Engineering, and an MBA.

Greg McNab

Greg McNab is a former mechanical engineer and partner in the Securities Group of the international law firm Dentons' Toronto office. Greg’s practice includes working with financial services, resource and energy companies both domestically and internationally, with a large portion of that work involving opportunities between Canada and Australia. Dentons is one of the largest law firms in the world with offices all around the world in major finance centres.
