The University of Newcastle and the University of Sydney are collaborating to host a symposium centred around Australia-Korea superannuation/retirement pension markets and regulations, in partnership with the Australia Korea Business Council. The symposium, which spans one and a half days at the University of Newcastle’s Sydney campus, will feature presentations and in-depth discussions involving industry experts and academics from Australia and Korea. Key topics encompass market outlooks for both nations, addressing regulatory challenges and prospects, and identifying investment opportunities in personal retirement funding, superannuation, and related fields. 

This event will facilitate people-to-people networking, collaborations, and business partnerships among attendees, exploring market opportunities and providing insights on effective fund management within the superannuation/retirement pension industry.

This symposium is sponsored by the Australia-Korea Foundation (AKF), the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

  • DAY 1: Pension and Superannuation Industries in Australia and Korea — 9:30am ~ 5:00 pm (morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea provided).
  • DAY 2: Capital Market Research in Australia and Korea — 9:30 am ~ 12:00 pm (morning tea and lunch provided).
