Event description

Australia's First Innovators Breakfast

Exploring the past, present and future of First Nation's Innovation & Investment

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples are the First Innovators and Entrepreneurs of this country. Our connection to country and kin can be traced back beyond 65,000 years. We have traded between our Nations and Internationally for generations and this continues to this day.

We invite you to come and hear from Advance Queensland and how they will continue to support, invest, and grow our modern-day Innovators and Entrepreneurs.  Come and hear from our Amazing panelists as they detail their journey to grow their businesses.

Hon. Minister Leeane Linard MP - Minister for Environment, Science and Innovation along with Duncan Kerslake from Deadly Innovations will share the Queensland Government Support for First Nations Innovation specifically around investment in entrepreneurs, companies, and communities. Projects such as the digital investment in First Nations communities such as Yarrabah will be shared.

In conjunction with the Tropical Innovation Festival team, the event will be expertly MC'ed by Media Personality Shelley Ware and hosted by the FNQ Indigenous Innovation Facilitator, Marc Harbrow.
