    Australia's SynBio Opportunity: Policy, Regulation, and International Perspectives

    Abstract: Delve into the dynamic world of synthetic biology as we examine Australia's edge in policy and gene regulation amidst a rapidly evolving global landscape. This event kicks off with a talk from Dr Dirk van der Kley addressing the biotech development in Australia and what is required to increase Australia’s biotech sector. The ensuing panel features distinguished speakers Dr Kylie Tattersall from the Australian Office for Gene Regulation, and Sacha Pulsford a Westpac Future Leaders Scholar and PhD student at ANU working on protein evolution, joining Dr van der Kley to discuss the intersection of national capabilities, regulatory frameworks, and the implications of international biotech advancements.

    This seminar room is on the second level. Upon entry to the Robertson Building, head up the stairs or the ramp to the second level. The seminar room is above the building entrance. The SynBio Australasia banner will be visible guiding people to the door.
