Australia V The Mediterranean Wine Dinner
Event description
Australia produces wine from grapes sourced from all over the world.
This dinner will compare 3 different wine varieties produced in Australia against their Mediterranean counterparts.
We will start a Sparkling Rose made from a Nebbiolo blend (it was going to be Prosecco but couldn't resist this unique bubbly) on the beautiful deck of the Parlour Bar.
We will then move inside to a long table for a Mediterranean inspired three course dinner.
The first course - grilled haloumi salad - will be complimented by a crisp white wine from the beautiful Greek island of Santorini. An Australian winery sourced vines from this very island, which we'll also enjoy.
The main course will feature a textured white wine one hailing from it's home in the boot of Italy, Puglia, with one from a small Australian wine district.
When booking, choose your main - an option between Roast Chicken Breast, escalivada, garbanzo and danish feta OR Pepper Crusted Barramundi, orange braised fennel, pea sprouts, citrus butter.
Dessert will be Tiramisu with red wine to finish - Northern Spain's flagship variety.
In total, you will enjoy a 3 course dinner with 7 different wines, lots of good conversation and healthy debate about which are our favourites.
