Australian Disability Discrimination Act Review Forum
Event description
Let’s make sure that the Disability Discrimination Act works well for all people with disability into the future.
The Australian Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) is being reviewed for the first time since 1992 and this is the opportunity for members to have your say on your experiences with the DDA.
The Australian Human Rights Commission says “Disability discrimination occurs when a person is treated less favourably, or not given the same opportunities as others in a similar situation because of their disability”. This includes employment, education, getting or using services, renting or buying a house or unit, and accessing public places.
We invite our members to participate in this member’s only forum to share your experiences and feedback about the DDA as well as what works and what could be done better.
Your input is important because it will help shape QDN’s recommendations and feedback to the review.
