Event description
"The Australian Doctors Orchestra (ADO), in partnership with the HAS Foundation, is delighted to come to Adelaide to perform our concert on Sunday 4 September from 2:30pm-4pm at Norwood Concert Hall. The ADO is a national organisation of volunteer doctors who love performing classical music at a high standard; they take leave once a year from work to come and perform to earn funds for a health related charity. This concert features an emotion packed program created by Nicholas Braitwaite, conductor laureate of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, with the highlight being Richard Strauss' tone poem about death and resurrection, very appropriate given the work of the HAS Foundation and this is our first concert in 3 years since COVID hit our lands. We are also delighted to welcome Greg Tuske who will perform the Schumann Cello Concerto with the orchestra, another piece of music rich in emotion. Come and be swept away by rich romantic music performed by our almost 100 member orchestra, and let it take you to heights of pure joy."
