IT'S OURÂ DIAMOND JUBILEE!
Australian Mensa will be celebrating its 60th Birthday in 2024!
WHO CAN ATTEND?
This event is only open to members of Australian Mensa, visiting Mensans and their guests. Join us for the largest Mensa in-person event at Rydges World Square Hotel in Sydney, NSW, Australia.
The Australian Mensa AMC is a gathering of minds. A kids and adults conference is held concurrently. Children aged 6 - 18 are welcome to attend.Â
You can book for the whole conference or just part of it. A ticketed adult must accompany any child who is booked to attend.
WHAT HAPPENS AT AN AMC?
The Conference kicks off on Friday night with an Icebreaker Party on board the James Craig tall ship. Saturday sees the conference proper take place. An adults and kids conference are held concurrently.Â
There will be fascinating speakers and it's also a chance to catch up with old and new friends. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be served.
On Saturday evening its time for the Gala Dinner. Don't forget to wear your best bling!
The AGM will be held on Sunday morning. In the afternoon there will be optional tours and other activities. These are not included in the price of the conference ticket.
A testing session will also be held on Sunday afternoon.
ICE BREAKER PARTY
The Friday night icebreaker party will be held on board the 1874 tall ship The James Craig moored in Darling Harbour. The event starts at 5.30pm. Please note there is no disabled access onboard.
Meet old and new friends and soak up the atmosphere.

Can IÂ book for just one part of the conference?
Yes, you can book for the whole conference or just part eg the Gala Dinner.
Does the conference price include accommodation?
No, you will need to book separate accommodation. We have secured special rates at Rydges World Square for conference attendees.

Is there a booking fee?
Yes, a small booking/admin fee will apply.Â
Who is entitled to a "Concession ticket" for the Friday night icebreaker?
If you currently qualify for concession membership to Australian Mensa then you can book at the concession price.Â
Can IÂ send my child unaccompanied?
No, a paid adult must accompany each child who is booked to attend.
How old is a "child"?
Children 6+ years are welcome to attend. Rydges World Square have advised that they consider anyone 18 and older must register as an adult for catering purposes.
Can you cater for allergies and dietary issues?
Yes. Please specify when you book. We will work with the venue to ensure that the best efforts will be made to accommodate these.
Can IÂ get a refund?
Yes. Full refunds are available up to 14 days before the event.
Does the venue have disabled access?
Yes. The hotel has disabled access.
Please note that the Friday night event onboard the James Craig is not wheelchair friendly.
Is there a conference shirt? SHIRT SALES HAVE NOW CLOSED
Yes. These are a black cotton rich polo top embroidered with the conference logo . Adults and kids sizes are available.Â
These are not included in the conference price and must be ordered separately.Â

There is also a special conference lapel pin. You can pick up your polo top and pin at the registration desk on arrival.
Orders must be placed before August 8th to avoid disappointment.
Where can IÂ see the program?
The full program can be seen on the Mensa website.Â
Will there be pre and post AMC activities for delegates and guests?
Optional pre and post AMC tours will also be posted along with up to date details via the QR code.
Some possible options are a Barangaroo Rocks tour, Taronga Zoo visit, Bondi/Coogee walk, Sydney Opera House tour. Stay tuned!
You can now book for the Yum Cha on Sunday. The program will be soon be finalised.
Is there a theme for the Gala Dinner?

Yes, it's Australian Mensa's diamond anniversary, so wear your best bling!
Will there be a test session on the Sunday afternoon?
Yes, a free testing session for relatives of members will be held at the conference venue.
What if the conference is booked out! Will more tickets be made available?
You can choose to be placed on the waiting list when you book. You will be notified if there are any cancellations.
