The Australian Pecan Association is delighted to present our Annual Conference and AGM to be held in Moree, NSW over the weekend of 14th and 15th November 2026.

Saturday will encompass a full-day conference, followed by the AGM. Saturday evening will be our Conference Dinner, where prizes will be awarded for Best Pecan and Best Recipes. Sunday will involve a guided tour of Trawalla, Stahmann-Webster's premier Australian pecan property.

Conference details:

Saturday 14th November at the Moree Services Club, 3 Albert St, Moree

8:00am for 8:30 start:

Speakers include:

  • Anna Madden from Crop Capsules on Beneficials in the Orchard

  • Jeremy Bright from DPI on Integrated Pest Management and the new Biosecurity Plan for the Australian Tree Nut Industries

  • Tom Rooney from Waterfind on Water Security for the future of the Australian Pecan Industry

  • Brett Orwin from Scheduleit on Soil Moisture Monitoring

  • Stephanie Dixon from CSIRO/BOM on Long-term Climate Change, and

  • Richard Sampson-Genest from Stahmann Webster on Market Outlook and Stahmann-Webster expansion.

The AGM will follow the Conference - Agenda and further details to follow.

Conference Dinner to be held at the Services Club following the AGM.

Sunday 15th November at "Trawalla", 17240 Gwydir Hwy, Biniguy (25 mins east of Moree)

Due to biosecurity concerns, travel around "Trawalla" must be undertaken by bus, so please indicate if you will be joining us when you register. If you are meeting the bus at Trawalla (i.e. taking your own car as far as the farm gate), you will need to be there by 8:45am. Only registered Conference attendees may participate in the farm tour and field day. Please wear closed in shoes and bring a hat.

Ticket includes all Conference morning & afternoon teas/lunch on Saturday, Conference Dinner on Saturday evening and bus tour of, "Trawalla" on Sunday. Drinks will be at your own expense on Saturday evening. There are discounts for members and member spouses/partners. You can use this opportunity to join the APA and receive the discounted member rate for the Conference!

Casual dinner on Friday night (13th) at The Royal Hotel, 54 Heber St, Moree, from 6pm onwards.
