    Event description

We paused. Took a moment. A world-wide “…Ummm”.  Now, the slam storm returns.
In 2023, flex vocal chords with a new voice. Run with new leaders. Turn your moments of “…um” into MomentUm. Write new poetic revolutions. You’ve got two minutes on the mic. Build your MomentUm to crescendo and be heard.

Poetry Slams and wordshops are popping up around the nation. From June to October, 1000 writers will grab their moment in the spotlight leading to one National Final at Sydney Opera House and a prize worth $20,000, including publishing opportunities and gigs from Byron to Bali and beyond.

Watch, judge, perform, learn. Find a slam or workshop near you at: australianpoetryslam.com

Two poets chosen by the Central Coast audience head to the NSW Final!
