About Christopher Thé and Hearthe

Best known as the creator of the iconic Strawberry Watermelon Cake and founder of Black Star Pastry, Christopher Thé has returned to his roots in Sydney’s Inner West with his latest venture – Hearthe.

Hearthe is a thoughtful blend of heart, art, earth and Thé’s own name, reflecting his philosophy of cooking with care and creativity. Located in Stanmore, Hearthe showcases sweet and savoury creations that celebrate native Australian ingredients and sustainable techniques.

Through traditional preservation methods and a deep respect for local produce, Christopher continues to shape a uniquely Australian food story – one that’s both innovative and deeply connected to place.
