Australian Republic Movement Trivia Night

Join the ACT Branch of the Australian Republic Movement for a fun-filled trivia night on Saturday 10 August.

We're asking all our members and supporters to take part, as well as their family and friends, for the quiz and an evening of great company.

We'll see you there from 6pm with trivia commencing at 7pm. The night will wrap up at 9pm.

The quiz will be held in the Cotter Room at the Canberra Irish Club, 6 Parkinson Street, Weston.

Drinks and dinner will be available for purchase from the Irish Club bar and restaurant throughout the evening.

There will be some great prizes and raffles on offer. If you have anything to donate, please let us know by getting in touch at act@republic.org.au

What if I don't know anything about the republic - will I be able to answer the questions?
Yes! There will be some trivia questions related to the republican movement in Australia and republics worldwide - but most questions will only require general knowledge. The evening is designed to accessible for anyone interested to join us

Will there be prizes?
Yes, prizes will be awarded to the winning team and the team with the best name.

Can people under 18 attend?
Yes, under 18s are permitted if they are accompanied by a responsible adult.

What will the proceeds from the evening be used for?
All proceeds support the activities of the ARM in the Australian Capital Territory. The ACT Branch is a key part of the campaign for an Aussie republic. The Branch Council speaks with community groups and others about the movement, has a presence at events such as the National Multicultural Festival and contributes to the nationwide strategy of the movement.

What if I'm a monarchist?
You are welcome too. Just be prepared for some healthy discussion and to spend an evening in a room with a lot of people keen to change your mind!

What if I am coming on my own or don't have enough people to make up a full table?
That's no problem - we will make up team numbers and put together teams for individuals, couples or small groups that want to join us.
