After four fabulous years, the iconic Australian Wearable Art Festival (AWAF) is back in 2025 with a couple of fresh twists! Whether you’re a long-time member of our wearable art community or a first-time visitor, we’re excited to invite you to a fully immersive experience like never before.

For those new to the festival, the Australian Wearable Art Festival is Australia’s premier showcase of wearable art, where 40 extraordinary national and international artworks come to life in a breathtaking fusion of fashion and sculptural artistry. In 2025, we’re introducing two exciting new categories — Elements of Nature and Abstract Form — alongside our beloved favourites, Avant Garde and Trashion.

Introducing the Gala Awards Night – a special night celebrating our award winners and our last show

Join us for an unforgettable evening where we will award eleven coveted prizes, including the Supreme Award, and distribute over $15,000 worth of prizes. The Gala promises to be a thrilling showcase of innovation, artistry, and design. Don't miss your chance to be in the audience to hear the winner's announced.

The festival’s iconic 27-metre catwalk is back and better than ever, with an upgraded lighting experience that goes beyond the traditional runway. Picture everything from rock-star intensity to moody, atmospheric effects that elevate the show to new heights.

With three esteemed judges and increased prize money, the calibre of entries is higher than ever. In addition to taking in the spectacle, purchase from a selection of delicious hot and cold food, sip on the famous Sunshine & Sons’ cocktails, and mingle with the artists and models. Capture photos, soak in the inspiration, and be part of an event that celebrates creativity, style, and innovation like never before.

Choose from general admission tickets or elevate your experience with a VIP upgrade. While there are no bad seats in the house, if you want to channel your inner Anna Wintour and be front and centre, a VIP ticket is the way to go.

As a VIP, you’ll enjoy exclusive perks, including a backstage tour where you’ll get a sneak peek at the incredible artworks before they hit the catwalk. You’ll also receive a complimentary cocktail or drink of choice and some nibbles upon arrival in our VIP lounge—a stylish space to relax and mingle before the event.
