Day 02 (BD) MITTAGONG TO CANBERRA Saturday 06 March 2027
This morning we make our way into the charming Southern Highlands town of Bowral, where we’ll be treated to a wonderfully nostalgic visit to Fairground Follies. Stepping inside is like travelling back to the golden age of old-fashioned amusement parks, with a fascinating collection of self-playing instruments, mechanical music, fairground organs, street organs and the magnificent 100-year-old steam carousel. The sights, sounds and craftsmanship make this a truly unique experience and a memorable start to our day.
From Bowral we continue to Moss Vale, where there will be time to purchase lunch and enjoy a little free time before our afternoon visit to Red Cow Farm Garden. This beautiful private garden is a delight for anyone with a love of plants, with a variety of thoughtfully designed spaces to explore, including a charming walled garden, productive vegetable garden, orchard and colourful garden beds set amongst the peaceful Southern Highlands countryside.
After a relaxing afternoon, we reboard the coach and continue our journey south towards Canberra. Arriving in the late afternoon, we check into our accommodation and settle in for the next three nights, giving everyone time to unpack, unwind and look forward to the highlight of our tour — the Australian Yarn Festival.

Day 04 (BLD) EXPLORING THE NATION’S CAPITAL Monday 08 March 2027
Today we enjoy a wonderful day exploring some of Canberra’s most fascinating attractions, beginning at the delightful Cockington Green Gardens. As we wander the pathways, we discover intricately handcrafted miniature buildings, villages and landmarks from Australia and around the world. With so much detail packed into each display, it really does feel as though we have the world at our feet.
From here we make our way to beautiful Lake Burley Griffin, the sparkling centrepiece of our nation’s capital. We board our luncheon cruise and enjoy a relaxing meal as we take in the city from the water, passing landscaped parks, national institutions and some of Canberra’s most recognisable landmarks. This afternoon we visit the National Portrait Gallery, where portraits of remarkable Australians reveal stories of achievement, exploration, creativity and contribution. We then continue to the Royal Australian Mint, established to produce Australia’s new decimal currency in 1966. Here we learn how our coins are designed and manufactured, discover some of the Mint’s fascinating history, and gain an insight into the medals, medallions and commemorative pieces produced for organisations and events across Australia.

Day 05 (BLD) CANBERRA TO CAMDEN Tuesday 09 March 2027
We begin our day with a wonderful taste of rural life at Gold Creek Station, where we are welcomed into an authentic working farm environment. Watch highly trained Australian kelpies demonstrate their skill as they work the merino sheep, enjoy an entertaining sheep shearing demonstration, and hear fascinating stories about life on the land and the important role the Australian wool industry has played in shaping our country.
After a relaxed lunch at the station, we farewell Canberra and begin our journey towards Camden. Sit back and enjoy the changing scenery as we travel through the countryside to our accommodation for the final night of the tour, where we can unwind and reflect on the wonderful experiences we have shared over the past few days.
