AUT Engineering Student Showcase 2026
Description
Join us to meet 164 final-year engineering students presenting the results of a full academic year of real-world project work. This year's showcase features 72 projects spanning robotics, AI and machine learning, sustainable energy, biomedical engineering, mechanical systems, software development, and more - many developed in direct partnership with industry.
You'll see students tackling problems that matter: autonomous vehicles, net-zero power systems, underwater robots, wearable health monitors, AI-driven business tools, freshwater quality sensors, and prosthetics redesigned from the ground up. Projects range from individual deep-dives to team efforts, all grounded in genuine engineering challenges.
Programme
10am - 12pm: Browse poster displays and talk directly with student teams about their work
12pm - 1pm: Networking - a chance to continue conversations with students, academic staff, and industry guests
Whether you're looking for graduate talent, a fresh perspective on a technical challenge, or simply curious about what the next generation of engineers is working on, this is a good use of your Thursday.
