Event description

Author Talk with Megan Hills

Even though Megan Hills is flying to us from Newcastle, she is a Walkervillian. That is, she grew up in Walkerville and worked at the Walkerville Library during high school at Wilderness and while studying Arts at Adelaide University.

Pavlova Rising is Megan’s first novel. A fun art mystery about brilliant Sydney-based fine art student, Anna Lissam, who is on track for a prestigious studentship at London’s National Portrait Gallery. But Anna’s dream is torn to shreds by her new thesis supervisor, Englishman Dr Perry. Perry, an expert on art theft, is fixated on four suspected fake Aboriginal paintings. Anna is dragged out of her comfort zone to one completely foreign: her own country.

Pavlova Rising took over two decades to write. Why? Come to the author talk to discover the answer.

Drink and light refreshment included on arrival.
