During this workshop, award-winning autistic writer Jason Fischer will guide participants through the ways that a writer with autism can succeed. As the head of autism-specific organisation Spectrum Writing, Jason has guided dozens of neurodivergent authors along their individual writing journeys. In this fun hands-on workshop, participants will learn about:

Using goal setting to demolish 'Demand Avoidance'
How to weaponise hyperfixation
The 'Magpie Method' - Jason's tried and true way of speed-building any story.

Format

This is a hybrid workshop with a focus on writing craft; it will be held in-person at State Library of Queensland and live streamed simultaneously to an online audience via Zoom. It is suitable for all writers.
