Event description

To support the delivery of the SA Autism Inclusion Charter, the Office for Autism provides a range of free training activities and resources for employees of the South Australian Public Sector.

The training covers the following:

  • What is autism?
  • Myths and facts
  • Autistic strengths
  • Strategies for inclusion

Autism Awareness and Understanding Training – working with Autistic colleagues

Available to all Government of South Australia employees, this training provides an introduction to autism in the work place. It explains what autism is, how it may present and ways to work inclusively with Autistic colleagues.

The training is one hour in length, and includes opportunities to ask questions.

Presented by an Autistic facilitator, researchers and senior public servant, this training has been developed through extensive consultation with the Autistic and autism community, and is based on current research and information.
