Autistic Burnout and Children
Description
What is this session about?
Join Amelia Wright from Neurotopical Therapy to understand what burnout can look like in children, and how to support wellbeing in ways that respect capacity, and drop the pressure to push through. We will discuss:
Early signs of overload and exhaustion
Practical ways to reduce demands and support regulation day to day
Ways to build capacity and support recovery
How to talk with children about their needs, rest and capacity
Who is this session for?
With special thanks to Aberfoyle community centre, this is a free session to provide knowledge to parents and carers. Professionals are welcome to get in touch for further information about training and supervision.
As carers and family are often Autistic themselves, all efforts will be made to make the space more accessible.
