AUTONOMY VIP FUNDRAISING EVENT

Join artist Carissa George for an intimate fundraising evening celebrating AUTONOMY - a contemporary mixed-media exhibition exploring identity, choice, self-belief and the courage to reclaim ones path.

Created at the intersection of Carissa's art practice, career in healthcare, lived experience and post graduate justice research, Autonomy, considers the moments that shape who we become and the choices through which we reclaim our voice, identity and sense of self.

More than just an exhibition, AUTONOMY brings together original art, community collaboration, live performance and participatory experiences in an evening supporting Lovewell Foundation.

Guests will experience AUTONOMY after hours, hear from the artist, enjoy live music by Lani Mills, discover artworks created in collaboration with women connected with Lovewell Foundation and become part of an exhibition that asks one central question:

What does it mean to have the power to choose?

What to Expect

  • Exclusive VIP after-hours access to Autonomy

  • Live performance by Yani Mills

  • Drinks and canapés

  • Artist talk and the stories behind AUTONOMY

  • Community artworks created with women connected with Lovewell Foundation

  • Opportunity to purchase available artworks and limited AUTONOMY merchandise

  • Meaningful conversations around healing, resilience and self-discovery

  • A few surprises throughout the evening

About the Exhibition

Through a collection of original mixed-media paintings, Autonomy invites viewers to consider identity, agency and the choices that shape who we become.

Moving through moments of uncertainty, realisation and self-belief, the exhibition explores the journey from questioning ourselves to recognising our capacity to choose our own direction.

AUTONOMY is not about returning to who we once were. Its about discovering who we have the freedom to become.

A portion of proceeds from the evening will go directly to Lovewell Foundation, supporting women as they rebuild their lives and create new possibilities for their future.
