Autumn Colours Short Course

A relaxed introduction to using watercolour paints on 3 sunday afternoons, taking

inspiration from the changing colours of the autumn time.

This short course is an introduction to watercolour, focusing on essential techniques, colour theory and experimentation in a supportive environment.

Taught by local artist Eliott June O'Dowd, this course is designed for all those interested in watercolours - with or without experience. In this hands-on class you will go through the steps needed to create a stunning work of art with watercolour. Covering techniques such as wet on wet, wet on dry, colour mixing, water to pigment ratios and layering. Focusing on the Autumn season we will experiment with colour play, studies of the changing leaves and landscapes, all using the aforementioned techniques. In a relaxed class environment with tea provided, come learn how you can use one of the world’s oldest art mediums. Leaving with the foundational skills and confidence to continue your creative journey at home.

Designed for beginners and experimenters, all materials provided.

Please keep in mind we unfortunately have no toilet facilities on site although there are public toilets located close by.
