Shenzo Gregorio Quartet

Virtuoso Viola player, Jazz musician, composer and stuntman, Shenzo Gregorio brings his Gypsy Jazz Quartet to Maleny Lane and the Cooroy Butter Factory in this Autumn Double.

Shenzo Gregorio, violinist and multi-instrumentalist, first discovered the music of Django Reinhardt at the age of 15. An epic 23 year-long journey of self discovery and touring followed taking him to a plethora of countries the world over. Highlights include the Montreux Jazz Festival and New York’s Carnegie Hall.
Considered amongst peers to be one of the most creative violinists in Australia, Shenzo’s approach to jazz pays homage to the tradition while at the same time bringing an inventive flare to the art form.
Shenzo will be joined by John Reeves – piano Accordion, Peter Walters – double bass and Cameron James – Gypsy Jazz guitar.
