The health and welfare of sweat lodge participants is of the highest priority for us and as such, we will always adhere to the strictest levels of safety protocol for our ceremonies. Any concerns or health risks should be discussed with the facilitator before participating. All new participants must fill in and sign the sweat lodge waiver. The waiver is used to ensure the participant understands what is required of them and also to note any health risks that may be present. First time participants may choose to sit next to the facilitator, or other qualified members, in order for them to be monitored throughout the ceremony.

Our lodges are clothing optional. We trust that all participants are emotionally mature and capable of respectful behaviour before, during, and after the ceremony. Disrespectful behaviour WILL NOT be tolerated. For those who have attended saunas and steam rooms, similar attire is suitable. Swimmers, sarongs, or loose shorts are all appropriate.

After a purification ceremony, drinking and eating are necessary to replenish the body’s electrolytes. We will celebrate with a communal meal afterwards. Please bring nourishing food to share. Rest, lots of water and a good night’s sleep are also recommended.

What to Bring and how to prepare:

A towel to sit on in the lodge, and a spare towel for after if needed.
A sarong or swimmers to wear to and from the lodge
A water bottle
Bring nourishing food to share for after the ceremony, or if you prefer not to partake in communal food sharing, please ensure you bring nourishment for yourself for after the sweat lodge, before you drive home.
If you have, or you develop after registering, any cold, covid or flu symptoms, then please advise us ASAP, as you will not be able to sweat at this time. We will do a further health check on the day of the lodge.
It is perfectly okay to decide to sweat on the outside of the lodge at any time right up to standing at the lodge door, if you have any intuition or womb knowing that you should stay on the outside, then please feel free to do so, you are still most welcome to participate in this ceremony.
Recommended to drink 2 to 3 litres of water (don’t force it). Stop at least 1 hour prior to the ceremony.
Eat lightly on the day of the ceremony, if you are accustomed to fasting, you may choose to abstain from food for 6-8 hours prior to the sweat.
Alcohol, caffeine, or drug use should be avoided in the days leading up to a sweat lodge as it can increase detox symptoms, like headaches.
Please bring your own plate, bowl, cup/mug for food.
Contact lenses or jewelry, may heat up in the lodge, wear at your own discretion.
Feel free to bring something to place on the altar if you wish
