Event description

IN PERSON - LIVE!

An Autumn Equinox Journey into the ancestral medicine and the gifts of the last harvest
Dance... Meditate... Create... Celebrate... Honour

In the rhythm of the year, the wheel turns once again and we welcome the Autumn Equinox. A time of balance and known in the calendar as Mabon when warm autumn days are followed by chill nights, as the Old Sun God returns to the embrace of the Goddess.

The passing of Mabon is inevitable and The Sun God should be mourned. We too, must remember that all things must come to an end. So the Sun God journeys into the lands of winter and into the Goddess' loving arms, but endings are a good time to celebrate our successes, thank our selves and those who helped us, and take part in the balance of life!

As part of the celebration of Mabon we invite you to be guided towards ancestor reverence where you will discover how to draw on the wisdom of supportive ancestral guides, growing an interconnected relationship between the living and the dead.

Working with ancestral medicine encourages healing on three levels, personal, familial and cultural.  Ancestor work also invites introspection and greater clarity of life purpose as you explore the burdens and the gifts of your lineages. Mabon is the second harvest, a spiritual harvest were we have an opportunity to connect in deeply with our lineages that reflects in us what may need healing and what may be our ancestral blessings.

Join us as we dance, journey and create with our  blood ancestors uncovering a greater truth to who we are and an opportunity for healing.

Please join Jo Rockendorfer and Sue Andersen as we honour and celebrate the powerful energy of the Summer Solstice where our beautiful Earth tilts closest to the Sun and shines its fiery rays and intense warmth upon us. We will mark and honour this moment in time in community with ritual, dance, shamanic journeying, meditation, collage and celebration.

A little about Jo Rockendorfer:

Jo's career as a Teacher, Facilitator, Transpersonal Counsellor and Art Therapist has led her to be able to work with her passions. These include guiding individuals and groups to move through life's transitions and inspiring people to tell their story. Jo is also passionate about empowering people to live to their fullest potential and see the best in themselves.

A little about Sue Andersen:

Sue has been practicing Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms since 2008 and completed her teacher training early in 2016. She is excited to share the 5rhythms Wave map, supporting people to return again and again to their bodies, to explore and express their unique dance and to discover the freedom and aliveness that comes when we surrender our minds to our feet, to the dance.
Jo and I look forward to dancing, journeying and creating with you.
