Autumn Tones - Stephanie Hamlet

Autumn Tones:

Autumn Tones is an offering to music lovers of the Blue Mountains. The program will feature works from Bach, Brahms, Chopin, Granados and Elena Kats-Chernin. The repertoire complements Good Earth Book Shop’s heritage grand piano (circa 1870) to evoke the transcendental tones of autumn.

Stephanie Hamlet:

Born and raised in Central Queensland, Stephanie’s musical life began early when the piano chose her to be its companion at the age of three. No doubt music is her first language as she was reading notes before words.

That same passion carried her through to study at the Victorian College of the Arts and perform Rachmaninoff with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. She graduated with BMus Honours and is currently undertaking a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Sydney Conservatorium.

Stephanie currently resides in the Northern Rivers, NSW where she gives regular solo recitals, performing works such as Liszt B minor sonata, the Busoni Chaconne in D minor and Ravel Gaspard de la nuit.
