• Avalanche Terrain Travel Protocols

• Avalanche Rescue Gear and Techniques

• Companion Rescue Process

• Basic Patient Care of Avalanche Victims

This course may be canceled if there is insufficient snow or enrollment is inadequate.

All students must have an avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel. An analog or digital (phone app) inclinometer is also important.

The self-paced classroom components are online modules developed by The American Avalanche Institute.

The field portion of the course will be run by KPAC staff in the terrain surrounding Arizona Snowbowl.
