To connect to Avalon is to connect with the spiritual legacy of your ancestors, to find the magic in everyday life, to bridge the gap between this world and the otherworld and call forth and activate the Divine Feminine within yourself and the world. Avalon can be likened to the Shambhala or Nirvana of the Celtic world.

During this 5 week gathering we will connect with the energy of Avalon, anchoring it into our hearts and minds. You will learn about its powerful guardians - Morgan, Merlin, Arthur and the Dark Mother and start to develop an understanding of the Celtic Medicine Wheel and how this can be used in your life. You will be guided through meditations, ritual and vision journeys.

Avalon is the name of the magical unseen realm, centred around the town Glastonbury in the UK with its famous healing springs and Tor. It is a sacred place, a site of continual worship since Neolithic times. It was the site of a Druid school of learning and as legend has it where King Arthur was buried. It also thought to be the site of the first Christian Church in the UK, founded by Joseph of Arimathea, Jesus’s Uncle. This powerful place is still visited by thousands of spiritual seekers every year and now has an established Goddess Temple, the first in the UK for over 1500 years.

About the creator (Hannah McQuilkan): We all have links to different places on the planet, for me that most powerful of links is to Avalon. From the moment I first arrived in Glastonbury I was moved by the feminine grace I felt. I have had consistent experiences linking me to this place, including discovering relatives who were from there. I feel the healing temple I created, Temple of the Rose to be a portal to Avalon. Weaving my background as a Naturopath, Medical Herbalist and Shamanic Practitioner into Celtic lore and mysteries is a rewarding path that I am delighted to be sharing with the world.

Venue: Temple of the Rose is a dedicated space for ceremony, ritual and sacred events. It is closely aligned to the isle of Avalon, or Glastonbury in the UK. This stunning character space, filled with treasures will hold us and support this sacred work.
