Avaye Rood (South Of Sydney Tour)
Event description
Avaye Rood  - Persian-inspired music (South of Sydney Tour)
The Goulburn Club is pleased to present the Persian inspired sounds of Avaye Rood on Friday May 17.
Avaye Rood presents a blend of Persian-inspired original music, combining English and Persian poems by Rumi. The band's name, translating to "sound of the river," pays homage to an ancient Iranian musical instrument reminiscent of a lute.
Avaye Rood was established by Behzad Ansari in 2006. Behzad serves as the band's primary composer. The group has left an indelible mark on the international music scene, gracing stages across Iran, Germany, Greece, Australia, and beyond.
They recently performed at the Sydney Festival. Here you can see a performance of MAJNOON-Persian folk songÂ
Their music is harmonious fusion of Persian-inspired originals, seamlessly weaving together English and Persian verses inspired by Rumi.Â
Avaye Rood will be supported by local act the Hume Conservatorium 'Lonely Lighthouse Bluegrass Band'
