Aviation Heritage Museum: Beechcraft Baron Launch Family Open Day
Description
Join us for our Beechcraft Baron Launch Open Day, a special free event celebrating the launch of the newest member of the Aviation Heritage Museum collection — the beautifully restored Beechcraft Baron.
Once a former Royal Flying Doctor Service aircraft, the Baron has been carefully brought back to life by museum volunteers after years of dedicated restoration.
It also holds a powerful connection to Western Australian aviator and nurse Robin Elizabeth Miller, known as The Sugarbird Lady, who flew life-saving polio vaccines to remote communities across Australia.
Throughout the day you can explore the museum, see the Beechcraft Baron up close, enjoy special talks, meet some of the people behind the collection and discover the aircraft, stories and aviators that shaped WA’s aviation history.
Bring the family, grab a sausage sizzle and discover a remarkable piece of aviation heritage!
This event is free to attend with registration. Please ensure you arrive in your allocated booking time.
