We invite you to join us for the seventh AVP Conference to be held at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury, Christchurch New Zealand from 8-10 June, 2023.

The focus of this conference is on the de-limiting potential for visual pedagogies to decolonise learning. To visibilise pedagogies means to critically examine visual productions - making space for creative alternatives and ruptures.

In doing so we resist the recolonising effects of binding thought or practice. Instead we invite expansive encounters with visualisations as pedagogical acts in and for a changing world.

This conference will offer an interactive and engaging space for sharing contemporary projects that inquire into and highlight tensions in visual pedagogies, particularly in visual spaces that render and represent people, peoples, land, and more.

We have a range of tickets available including "add on" tickets for the conference dinner and an equity access donation ticket. The equity fund is to support presenters who do not have access to funding.

Please Note: If you wish to be considered for the Equity Access fund, further information can be found in the Call for Abstracts form (see www.visualpedagogies.com/2023-conference)

Please go to www.visualpedagogies.com/2023-conference for more information and to view the call for abstracts.

Please contact visualpedagogies@gmail.com if you have any further questions.
