Hot conditions can affect pilots as much as they affect aircraft, reducing performance and safety margins.

In this 45-minute webinar, Aviation Safety Advisor Craig Peterson will be joined by Dr Kate Manderson, Principal Medical Officer at CASA, to explore how heat affects pilot performance, concentration and decision-making, and what pilots can do to manage these risks.

They’ll cover:

how heat affects the body, concentration and decision-making
recognising the early signs of heat-related impairment
practical strategies to manage heat exposure and maintain performance
knowing when hot conditions may make it unsafe to fly or continue a flight.

Secure your spot, tune in online, and bring your questions.

A recording of the event will be added to CASA’s pilot safety hub and will be available on our YouTube channel.
