Awaawaroa Bay Eco Village Open Day - Neighbours Day event
Description
Join us for a day exploring the two 'ara/paths' of eco village life - relationship with land and relationship with those who live upon it.
10am Meet and greet
10.15 - 11am Presentation and QA about the Eco Village
11am - 11.30 Morning Tea
This part of the event is free and kindly funded through the 'Neighbours Day' programme.
11.30 - 1pm Workshops (approx 1.5 hours):
If you wish to stay for the workshops and walks then you need to purchase a ticket $25.00 Children under 12 years free.
Growing bananas with Thomas Beier
Raranga (weaving) with Kat Howard
Keeping a family cow with Heike Sonnenschein
Using bamboo with David Duval-Smith
Programme ends at 1pm
Please note: Awaawaroa Bay is a bird sanctuary and no dogs are to be bought onto the land. Please bring raincoats and gumboots and be prepared for walking over un even surfaces on some workshops.
