Life is movement. And how we move influences how we experience our lives.

In an Awareness Through Movement lesson, we slow things down and explore gentle, comfortable movements with curiosity. This gives you an opportunity to notice your habits, discover different possibilities and find greater ease doing what you love.

Rather than pushing, stretching or trying harder, our lessons invite you to pay attention to what you sense and discover what happens when you move in new ways. Over time, this can support greater ease, balance, flexibility and coordination, as well as a deeper sense of wellbeing.

Most lessons will take place lying comfortably on a mat, with some lessons explored while sitting in a chair. Before each lesson, we’ll explore a few simple reference movements related to the lesson, giving you an opportunity to notice what you sense and experience. Afterwards, we’ll revisit these movements and see what you notice now, with an opportunity to share your observations if you wish.

Together we’ll explore the connection between movement, thinking, sensing and feeling, and how becoming more aware can give you more choices in the things that matter to you.
