⚓️ Maritime NZ holds a pivotal role in New Zealand's maritime sector, overseeing the development and enforcement of national safety regulations, licensing seafarers, and maintaining maritime safety infrastructure. Their responsibilities extend to providing a national search and rescue coordination service (RCCNZ), managing maritime incident response capabilities, and leading responses to significant maritime emergencies such as oil spills.
🌐 Australasian Women in Emergencies (AWE) invites members in Wellington, NZ, on 8 February to join us for an informative session on the impactful work of Maritime NZ, followed by a Speed Networking event with emergency management and disaster resilience colleagues.
⏰ Arrive around 4:30 pm for a 5 pm start.
Important Timing Note: Lifts will be locked from 5:30 pm onwards, so arriving before 5:30 pm is crucial.
