Whether you are a major water user, a regulatory body, a natural resource manager or a non-government organisation, AWS training can give you what you need to practise and advocate for responsible water management through water stewardship.

There are three levels of training on offer. Each level of training comprises six contact hours, delivered in 2-hour live Zoom sessions over 3 consecutive days.

If you are interested in providing water stewardship related services such as training, auditing and consulting, you can opt to join the AWS Professional Credentialing program after completing your training. Additional fees and requirements apply.

Level 1 | Foundations of Water Stewardship

Learn more about responsible water management and how your organisation can benefit from practising water stewardship in this introductory online course. Featuring examples of water stewardship practitioners and advocacy groups to help you gain an understanding of water stewardship concepts and applications.

Level 2 | Advanced Training in the AWS Standard System

Learn more about how to implement water stewardship and prepare for AWS certification in this advanced-level course. With interactive group exercises to help you develop skills in practising water stewardship onsite within the context of catchments and supply chains. You will also get to know tools and resources that can support you in implementing the AWS Standard. Trainees must complete Foundation training prior to attempting this course.

Level 3 | Specialist Training in the AWS Standard System

Aimed at trainers, consultants and auditors seeking AWS credentials, this course enables you to gain a comprehensive understanding of the AWS assurance program, accreditation and certification requirements. Implementers of the AWS Standard can also benefit from this course by developing a full understanding the auditing procedures and certification requirements. Trainees must complete Advanced training prior to attempting this course.
