Adirondack Youth Climate Summit

Welcome to the 14th annual Adirondack Youth Climate Summit!

At this engaging, high-energy event, high school students will have the opportunity to attend interactive workshops led by climate professionals; hear from guest speakers who have taken bold action on climate change; and connect with other young climate change makers from across the Adirondack Park. 

Who? The Adirondack Youth Climate Summit is for high school students in 9-12th grade who live in the Adirondack region of upstate NY. Groups of 5 students and 1 teacher from each school are invited to register. Bring your Green Team, Cross Country Ski Club, Environmental Science Class, Book Club, etc.!

What? We combine informative plenary sessions and workshops in a fun atmosphere for a powerful 2-day educational experience. At the summit, students will develop a climate action plan that they can use to implement climate solutions in their own community. Young people will leave ready to accelerate change in their lives, schools and communities. Check out our webpage and draft agenda for this year's summit

Where? The Adirondack Youth Climate Summit is hosted at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY.

When? The Summit will be held November 5-6th, 2025

Announcing our 2025 AYCS Keynote Speaker!

We are SO excited to welcome Suzie Hicks (they/them) to the summit this year as our keynote speaker.

Suzie is an award-winning filmmaker, author, and environmental educator exploring where storytelling meets climate action. With a background in public media and a master’s from Columbia’s Climate School, they bring environmental justice to life through kids' media, books, and community-driven projects. Suzie is most famous for their climate education-oriented YouTube series, "Suzie Hicks the Climate Chick & Sprout". You can also find them on TikTok and Instagram.
