An Intimate Weekend in Asheville with Ayla Nereo - with Biko Casini & Brotha Jag

This weekend is a journey, an experience to uplift, inspire and open us deeper into ourselves, and stronger in our kinship. Join us for two nights of performances with sonic muse Ayla Nereo, sharing pieces of her new album Sovereign Kin - Book I: The Spark, new dance productions of past songs, and intimate acoustic renditions to drop us deeply into the moment. And possibly a few improvisational or requested surprises, just for the Asheville family.
Ayla’s concerts are a pure transmission that opens the heart and deeply inspires the creative soul.
In addition to the shows, Ayla will be offering an in-person workshop immersion to expand the voice, open the creative channel, loosen the fears, inspire songs and practice the art of allowing, as we dive in to the inner trust and JOY of cocreating sound. This is a rare opportunity to experience Ayla’s unique Vessel of Voice practice, sing together, ignite your artistic inspiration, and open up layers of your voice and creativity unlike any other.

Both evenings will begin with the gorgeous sounds of Biko Casini to ignite and open the journey.
Ayla’s performances will be followed by a curated dance wave from California DJ Brotha Jag, whose sonic mastery will take us even deeper on the journey, to integrate our insight and emotion into movement together as a community.
Each artist will be curating a unique set for each evening, differing from the previous night.
This is a gathering to connect as community, to dive deep into the resonance of song and poetry, dance and performance, storytelling through sonic waves. It is a weaving of the threads, for families, lovers, kin of all kinds.
