B-PUMP Sessions Sydney
Event description
9 Degrees & Arcteryx are partnering up to bring something special to Sydney! We're hosting two very special guests all the way from B-PUMP bouldering gyms in Japan to help us put on this huge Japanese inspired competition!
Our first guest, Katsu Miyazawa is the owner of the famous B-PUMP Ogikubo and the coach of Japanese competition all stars Tomoa Narasaki and Miho Nonaka. Our second guest, Tsukuru Hori is the head setter for BPUMP Ogikubo, an official IFSC route setter and the first ever Japanese athlete to win a Boulder World Cup!
Together with Katsu and Tsukuru we'll be setting and hosting B-PUMP Sessions! A competition for climbers of all levels. The event will be split into 4 'pumpfest' heats where you'll have two and a half hours to climb your top 6 scoring boulders for our Open A category or your top 8 scoring boulders for all other categories. The top 6 athletes will be invited to compete in a World Cup style finals spectacle from 630pm while the other categories will podium from their pumpfest scores at the conclusion of the evening.
We'll have a heap of extras too. To help bring the good vibes we'll have food trucks, some complimentary refreshments, good tunes & more!
It's free to spectate so whether you're up for competing, down for a casual climb or just keen to come along and be part of the action, there's something for you!
Tickets are $15 for members and $30 for non-members which includes entry on the day.
