This symphony sets Yevgeny Yevtushenko’s poem Babi Yar to music.
The concert was held as a commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the worst of the massacres perpetrated by the Nazis at Babi Yar when they murdered 33,771 Jews in two days.
This event is a fundraiser for Jewish Ukrainian refugees through "The Joint".
