Babitha's debut album 'Brighter Side Of Blue' - out now!

    BABITHA
Babitha returns with her debut album ‘Brighter Side of Blue’, a rare record in its succeeding to explore a wide range of sound and traditions with nuance and playfulness. Bolstered by a band of local stars in their own right, the record oscillates between moments of an almost myth-making degree of coolness and breathtaking vulnerability. But it’s the voice of Babitha that provides an antidote for the themes and pallets that she contends with, marked by an almost meditative phrasing and tone that is  always heart rending but never histrionic.

"Brighter Side Of Blue is a formidable debut that thoughtfully reflects on the internal and external turmoil of the current age, threaded together with a wide-eyed and refreshing sense of optimism." – FBi Radio (Album of The Week)
"...a melodically rich, ethereal alt-folk sound, that drift across intimate songwriting and dusty cinematics." – 2SER (Feature Album)
"Babitha’s refreshing blend of country, indie and folk reflects an openness to experimentation – and willingness to have fun" – NME AU

    THE MORNING STAR

The Morning Star are an experimental folk-rock band formed by collaborative Illawarra based songwriters Ali Mollica and Cody Munro Moore. They adhere to this genre through both drawing upon and obscuring traditional songlines of the sonic past, while exploring experimental recording styles that meddle with our own notion of the present.

    MARCUS INDEX
Formerly Spookyland, Marcus Index is the musical project of Australian songwriter Marcus Gordon. His latest album 'Private Music' (out March 2023) is his first self-produced release, recorded at home during lockdowns with one microphone amidst the bustling noises of house mates. The name of the album is intended to reflect the personal nature of the songs which candidly address themes of mental illness, gender dysmorphia and spiritual crises.

    TUFFENCE MERINGUE

Tuffence Meringue is the shambolic occasional side project of Sophie McComish (who’s main thing is another band called Body Type). Silly little songs about love and bartending and dogfights amongst other things, performed by a rotating cast of celebrity band members, whomsoever can be wrangled at the time. Maybe you’ll see an Ashley or a Christie (of Classic fame), a Lily or a Rikki (of Sweetie glory), or even a Cecil or an Annabel (of aforementioned BT notoriety). Or maybe all of the above?? Slop-rock for people who like 4-tracks and raw guitars and unbrushed hair and making mistakes.
