Babs Pops Up...at Abbotsford Convent
Named for the woman who said "I arrived in Hollywood without having my nose fixed, my teeth capped, or my name changed", Barbra Striesand, aka BABS, is the patron saint of BadAssBitcheS. The tenacity to do something your own way is what drives the BABS team to provide a unique experience that challenges traditional modes of restaurant service. Championing the prominence of female-led kitchens and dining rooms, BABS is a space for community and for the sharing of collective skills. For BABS, the temporality of place provides a creative outlet to freely explore what’s possible in the kitchen and on the floor.
On Sunday, 16 April, BABS pops up at Abbotsford Convent with an event marking their first time in Melbourne! In collaboration with the team at Cam's Kiosk, the BABS will be hosting a lush seafood-driven menu, inspired by the most delicious zesty, salty, brothy Mediterranean dishes that chefs Ellie Hayes O'Brien (BABS) and Julieanne Blum (Cam's Kiosk) still dream about after travels, snacks and experiences in that undeniably yummy part of the world.
The four-course lunch commences with a welcome drink with the choice of either a 12pm or 2pm seating.
