Courtney and Trish at Mackay Family Life and Nth QLD Babies & Kids Market for opening the space up for another Mackay public Bab/Child First Aid Session!
It is a 2.5hour session run by health professionals covering the following topics most relevant to those aged 0-4years:
- “Red Flags”- recognising an unwell baby/child
- Infant/Child CPR (with hands on experience)
- Breathing: Red Flags (what to look out for), whooping cough, croup and asthma
- Allergies/Anaphylaxis
- Rashes
- Choking
- Poisons, bites and stings
- Burns
- Fever, febrile convulsions and pain relief
- Head Injuries/lacerations
*Child health pack includes Nappy Bag Sized BabyEd Baby First Aid Kit and is available as a separate ticket.
Babies are welcome to attend.
