This class is suitable from 32 weeks of pregnancy onwards or any time in the first 6 months after your baby is born.

Your program includes:

Recognising and responding to an unwell baby 2-hour virtual class (via zoom)
Post class resources and fact sheets (sent electronically)
Apps and websites for recognising and responding to an unwell baby

In the Recognising and responding to an unwell baby class, you will learn:

Normal baby behaviour
Behavioural cues your baby is becoming unwell
How and when to take your baby's temperature and interpret the results
Fever and other variations of normal temperature
Breathing - normal versus concerning breathing
Bronchiolitis and croup
Colour
Vomiting versus posseting
Rashes
The period of purple crying ('colic')
When to seek help if you are concerned about your baby

At the completion of this class, all participants will be provided with a range of e-resources and printed material for recognising and responding to an unwell baby.

Class format:

Virtual class, held via zoom.
All virtual classes via zoom can be viewed on a laptop, desktop computer, tablet or smartphone. You can even watch it on your Smart TV if your smartphone permits screen mirroring.
