Babysitting Workshop 2026

Are you, or someone you know, wanting to become an absolute PRO at babysitting and working with kids?

Then you cannot miss out on this event! Run by Plunket, you will come out with first aid skills, tools + ideas to ensure you are seen as one of the best babysitters that could be!

Sunday 18th October from 9AM - 3PM in the Rimu Room.

Topics

In just one day (9am - 3pm) course participants will learn about:

• positive behaviour management

• professionalism and responsibility

• basic first aid awareness

• keeping children safe

• understanding children's needs

• tips and confidence for working with young people.

This practical, face-to-face workshop is a great way to prepare for a first job and demonstrate commitment to employers.

This workshop is limited to those aged 14 years and above at the time of the course taking place.
