After welcoming two Code Like a Girl babies to the team last year, returning to work from extended time away is a hot topic at our meetings. Navigating new routines, competing priorities, sleepless nights and the personal transformation of becoming a parent are all common themes of our discussion.

Inspired by our own experience and from conversations with our community, we welcome to our virtual stage representatives from leaders in this area. Our panellists have led or been a part of innovative return to work programs that seek to support participants through the challenges they face.

And while parental leave is of personal interest, we know that there are many other life transitions which cause extended periods of time away from our professions. From career change to sabbaticals, personal loss or recovering from a serious injury - there are so many ways a person might need support during the significant adjustment of going back to work.
